Ex-ADAG Executive Arrested in Major Money Laundering Case
Amitabh Jhunjhunwala, former executive of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in relation to a bank loan fraud and money laundering case. The case involves alleged fraudulent transactions through Reliance companies using shell entities.

Amitabh Jhunjhunwala, a former high-ranking executive of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate. The arrest comes in connection with a bank loan fraud which has also spiraled into a high-profile money laundering case.
The financial crimes are believed to have been carried out using shell companies linked to Reliance Home Finance Limited and Reliance Commercial Finance Ltd. Investigators are focused on unraveling the complicated web of transactions involving these firms.
Jhunjhunwala, who was a director of Reliance Capital Ltd from March 2003 to September 2019, is currently in custody. Authorities have produced him before a court seeking extended custody for comprehensive interrogation.
