NTPC Sets Record in Renewable Energy Capacity and Power Generation for FY26
NTPC has reported a significant achievement for the fiscal year 2025-26 by generating 432.2 billion units of electricity and achieving the highest-ever capacity addition of 9,619 MW. The company also recorded a 6.22% growth in coal production and has ambitious future plans for expanding its renewable energy capacity.

NTPC announced on Thursday that it has reached new milestones in power generation and capacity additions for the fiscal year 2025-26, with a record-setting 432.2 billion units of electricity produced.
The company successfully added 9,619 MW in capacity, including 5,488 MW of renewable sources such as solar and wind energy, as part of its ongoing diversification strategy.
Additionally, NTPC reported a 6.22% year-on-year increase in coal production and an impressive growth in power trading, further solidifying its position in the energy sector. With plans to reach a total capacity of 149 GW by 2032, NTPC continues to lead in providing sustainable and affordable power solutions.
