Modi assured that the country has built a robust strategy to buffer its agricultural and energy sectors from potential disruptions.
The Prime Minister highlighted India's ample grain reserves and efforts to ensure adequate fertiliser supply, crucial for the upcoming Kharif season, despite concerns over imports from West Asia. This move is part of a broader government initiative to shield Indian farmers from the consequences of global crises.
PM Modi also addressed the anticipated rise in electricity demand with the onset of summer, affirming that India's power plants possess sufficient coal stocks. He showcased the significance of ethanol fuel blending, railway electrification, and a diversified energy import strategy in reducing reliance on conventional energy imports, thereby ensuring energy security amid geopolitical tensions.
