Amit Shah and Odisha Governor Discuss Development and Anti-Naxal Initiatives

Odisha Governor Haribabu Kambhampati engaged Union Home Minister Amit Shah in substantive discussions in the national capital on mutual interests and the state's development trajectories. The governor emphasized Shah's instrumental role in bolstering Odisha's development.

During a visit to Odisha, Amit Shah received a Lord Jagannath portrait from devotee Annata Biswal while inaugurating the third stream of the Sulphuric Acid Plant at the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited in Paradeep. Shah highlighted the plant's role in empowering women, especially from tribal and OBC communities, and boosting India’s self-reliance in fertiliser production.

Shah compared the potential expansion of dairy cooperatives in Odisha to the success of Amul in Gujarat, emphasizing economic benefits for tribal and OBC women. Both central and state governments plan to introduce dairy cooperatives across Odisha's villages, enhancing local economies.

Addressing his first major public event in Odisha after the 2024 elections, Shah lauded the region's support for the BJP and highlighted the Central Industrial Security Force's critical role in combatting Naxalism. He committed to eradicating Naxalism nationwide by March 31, 2026, praising CISF personnel's bravery and dedication.
