Ukraine Boosts Middle East Defense Against Drones

Ukraine has intensified its military presence in the Middle East by dispatching units to five countries to shield both critical and civilian infrastructures from drone threats, according to Ukrainian security council secretary Rustem Umerov. These countries include the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, which face threats due to the ongoing Iran conflict.

Despite the Gulf nations possessing advanced U.S.-made air defense systems, they've requested Kyiv’s assistance to combat the economical kamikaze drones employed by Iran and Russia. Ukrainian military experts are currently operating under the supervision of the National Security and Defense Council to enhance these defenses.

In return for this defense support, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy seeks financial and technological aid, though these terms remain under negotiation. As Ukraine's global role in security initiatives grows, leaders emphasize the importance of international recognition of their expertise against emerging drone warfare threats.
