In a bid to streamline the updating of electoral rolls in Telangana, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday unveiled a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) help desk at the party's headquarters in Hyderabad. The initiative is aimed at assisting voters in verifying and revising their details on the electoral rolls, as announced by the party through a press release.
The help desk, staffed by trained representatives, is expected to provide necessary guidance to the public, ensuring that voter information is accurately mapped and eligible citizens are confirmed on the electoral rolls. The AIMIM has urged voters to utilize this service to safeguard their democratic right to vote, by contacting the helpline numbers during specified hours.
Coinciding with this initiative, the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana recently organized a training session for Electoral Officers and District Level Master Trainers from four key districts. This training session focused on managing electoral rolls and emphasized the importance of accuracy in the forthcoming Special Intensive Revision exercise, which is part of a larger nationwide effort by the Election Commission of India.
