The Saudi port of Yanbu has suspended oil loadings, as reported by two sources to Reuters, after the Saudi defense ministry successfully intercepted a ballistic missile over the city.
This incident marks a significant impact on the region, as Yanbu is one of two key Gulf Arab oil export routes still operational following Iran's effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
The ministry additionally reported a drone crash at the SAMREF refinery, where damage assessment is currently underway.
