Rosatom, Russia's state nuclear corporation, has strongly criticized a recent strike near Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant on Tuesday, emphasizing the urgency of reducing tensions in the area.
Aleksei Likhachev, the head of Rosatom, released a statement condemning the incident and stressing the need for all parties involved to prioritize de-escalation efforts around the Bushehr facility.
Despite the proximity of the strike to a metrological service building, Rosatom reported that radiation levels remained normal, and there were no injuries among the staff. Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation confirmed a projectile hit the area, as reported by the Tansim news agency.
