India Fuels the Future: Green Hydrogen Mission Gains Momentum
India's ambitious National Green Hydrogen Mission is set to create 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030. Currently, 3,000 MW of electrolyser manufacturing and 862,000 MTPA of green hydrogen capacity have been allocated, coupled with significant financial incentives, aiming to boost sustainable energy solutions.

The Indian government's National Green Hydrogen Mission is making significant strides, as shared with the Parliament on Tuesday. The mission targets establishing a formidable production capacity by the year 2030.
Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Naik, apprised the Rajya Sabha of the allocation of 3,000 MW per annum in electrolyser manufacturing. This award accompanies a generous financial incentive package totaling Rs 4,440 crore.
Additionally, a green hydrogen production capacity of 862,000 metric tonnes per annum has been earmarked with Rs 5,294 crore in incentives. Furthermore, 20,000 tonnes per annum have been allocated for Indian oil refineries, under a Rs 240 crore incentive. Pilot projects are also underway nationwide.
