BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Friday threw down the gauntlet to Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, demanding evidence of the implementation of key national projects like nuclear facilities and railway electrification during the Congress' governance from 1974 to 2014. Dubey asserted that a report from 1970-1974 outlined such initiatives, challenging the Congress to show their achievements over four decades.

Rahul Gandhi, meanwhile, emphasized the critical role of energy security in national stability. He criticized allowing foreign powers to dictate India's energy decisions, questioning why US President Trump's influence should determine India's oil trade with Russia. Gandhi insisted that India must independently choose its energy partners.

Amid a West Asia conflict that disrupts fuel supply through the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian officials assured the safe passage of Indian ships. Meanwhile, Gandhi raised alarms about LPG shortages, criticizing restrictions on parliamentary debate and emphasizing a need for proactive measures from the Indian government to address the crisis.
