Brazil's Coffee Output Set to Soar in 2026/27: StoneX Forecasts Record Growth

Broker StoneX has announced a significant upward revision in its forecast for Brazil's coffee output for the 2026/27 season, estimating a new record of 75.3 million 60-kilogram bags. This represents a 20.8% increase from the prior season, previously set at 70.7 million bags.

The updated projection is largely attributed to a surge in arabica coffee production, which is now expected to reach 50.2 million bags, up from an earlier estimate of 47.2 million. Likewise, canephora varieties, including conilon and robusta, have seen forecast adjustments to 25.1 million bags, compared to the previous 23.5 million.

Although adverse weather affected the 2025/26 output, StoneX believes that new production areas and the recovery of coffee plantations will counterbalance these challenges, driving robust growth in Brazil's coffee industry.
