India's Strategic Shift in Crude Oil Sourcing
India has increased its non-Hormuz crude imports to 70%, ensuring a secure crude supply, according to Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Petrol, diesel, and natural gas supplies are stable, with regular LNG arrivals from alternative routes. Recent concerns over cooking gas stem from consumer anxiety, not supply issues.
India has significantly increased its non-Hormuz crude imports to 70% of total imports, ensuring secure crude supply, Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced to parliament on Thursday.
The nation’s petrol and diesel supplies remain fully secure, bolstered by the consistent arrival of liquid natural gas cargoes from diverse routes.
Meanwhile, concerns over cooking gas availability have been attributed to consumer anxiety rather than actual supply shortages, as clarified by Minister Puri.
