India Shores Up LPG Supplies Amid Middle East Conflict

Amid growing concerns over LPG shortages due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, the government confirmed on Wednesday that India has sufficient stocks to ensure household cooking demands are met. Joint Secretary Sujata Sharma emphasized efforts to secure alternative supplies and boost domestic output.

The conflict has disrupted shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for India's crude oil and LPG imports. India is actively diversifying its sources and has increased domestic LPG production by 25% to counteract shortages.
