On Wednesday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini convened a crucial meeting with senior officials from the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department to assess the state of cooking gas and fuel supplies across Haryana. According to an official statement, oil company representatives reassured that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG is functioning normally with ample stocks available. This comes despite a temporary disruption in the supply of commercial cylinders.
The Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas delivered directives on March 9 to prioritize domestic LPG availability in certain sectors. Educational institutions and hospitals are given preference for commercial cylinder supply, while efforts continue to maintain distribution to all sectors. In response to concerns over potential disruptions sparked by the West Asia conflict, the government renewed its commitment to ensuring an uninterrupted supply of domestic LPG.
The government has issued instructions to prevent hoarding and black marketing, with directives communicated to deputy commissioners and other key officials. Amid rising panic bookings for domestic gas cylinders, the state administration urged citizens to avoid heeding unfounded rumors and assured that the supply of essential petroleum products remains stable and adequate.
