In a tragic turn of events, three young family members lost their lives in the Ganga River in Bihar's Bhagalpur district. The unfortunate incident unfolded during a family ceremony on Wednesday morning. Officials confirmed the youths drowned while trying to rescue their aunt.

The three victims, Krishna Kumar, Sunny Kumar, and Bobby Kumar, all in their mid-twenties, were residents of Delhi. They had traveled to their ancestral village in Olapur for a 'mundan' (tonsure) ceremony. Their selfless attempt to save a drowning relative resulted in their untimely demise.

Ghogha Station House Officer Ashutosh Kumar stated the men jumped into the river to save Rukmani Devi, their 35-year-old aunt. Although the locals managed to rescue Devi, the young men were swept away by the current. The community mourns their loss, highlighting the perils of unmonitored water bodies.
