Ukrainian air defense shot down many attacks, but substantial damage occurred. President Zelenskiy called for global support against the destruction of residential and critical infrastructure.
In a shocking display of aggression, Russia launched a comprehensive overnight assault on Ukraine, utilizing drones and missiles to target crucial infrastructure. At least 10 people, including two children, were killed in Kharkiv, a northeastern city, Ukrainian officials reported.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy condemned the strikes as 'savage' attacks on life, urging international partners to continue providing air defense systems and weapons to thwart Russia's ongoing attempts to dismantle Ukraine's residential and vital infrastructure.
Despite Ukrainian air defenses intercepting hundreds of attacks, the damage was significant. In addition to residential areas, Russian forces targeted military complexes and energy facilities, leading to widespread power cuts and infrastructure damage across the country.
