Trinidad and Tobago Eyes Regional Oil Supplies for Refinery Reboot

Trinidad and Tobago is actively seeking to secure crude oil supplies from neighboring regions to potentially relaunch its Pointe A Pierre refinery. The facility is targeted to handle up to 150,000 barrels daily.

With Guyana's oil production swiftly increasing, Trinidad is in discussions with several oil producers to ensure a steady supply of crude oil. This information was disclosed by Minister Roodal Moonilal during an energy conference hosted in Georgetown.

The revival of the Pointe A Pierre refinery marks an important step for Trinidad and Tobago in boosting its energy sector's capabilities and economic resilience in the region.
