In a vehement criticism on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lambasted the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress alliance, accusing them of eroding Bihar's identity during their years in power. Speaking at an election rally in Muzaffarpur, Adityanath remarked that the state had become known for trivial issues like which official would hold the spittoon of the then-Chief Minister. He cited how senior officials were derisively referred to by nicknames, highlighting the negative impact on the state's reputation.

Further attacking the opposition, Adityanath painted an image of a state wary of development under previous regimes. During his speech, he recounted that suggestions to build roads were met with fears of empowering police to curtail local wrongdoings, a climate he attributed to 'hereditary looters' fostering a mafia culture. Adityanath also took a swipe at the Bihar Mahagathbandhan’s campaign strategy, likening key opposition leaders to 'three monkeys' blind, deaf, and mute to the region's recent progress.

Singling out Congress's Rahul Gandhi, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, and Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav, Adityanath derisively called them 'Pappu,' 'Tappu,' and 'Appu,' suggesting these leaders disregard the state's developmental strides and are complicit with mafias, thus jeopardizing Bihar’s security. With Bihar poised for assembly elections over two phases, the contest intensifies as voters prepare to head to the polls on November 6 and 11, with results announced on November 14.
