Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik crafted an impressive sand sculpture at Puri Beach to congratulate the Indian Women's Cricket Team for their landmark victory in the 2025 World Cup. India secured the title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final held at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium.
The sculpture, featuring a 6-foot-long sand cricket bat decorated with numerous balls, symbolizes the dedication and teamwork exemplified by the victorious team. Pattnaik shared a video message, stating, "The Indian Women's Team has scripted history with this World Cup win, showcasing India's 'Nari Shakti' to the world."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave 2025, applauded the team's achievement and expressed that their success would inspire young Indians. He emphasized how this historic win will motivate more women to take up sports, along with adding similar sentiments shared by President Droupadi Murmu.
