Hyderabad-Based Nucelion Therapeutics Launches to Propel Advanced Therapies
Nucelion Therapeutics Pvt Ltd, a new CRDMO under Bharat Biotech, has launched in Hyderabad, focusing on cell and gene therapies. Its facility in Genome Valley will support the development and manufacturing of therapies for cancers, genetic, and autoimmune disorders, adhering to international regulatory standards.

Nucelion Therapeutics Pvt Ltd, a pioneering Contract Research, Development, and Manufacturing Organisation (CRDMO) based in Hyderabad, formally announced its launch on Monday. Operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Biotech International Ltd, Nucelion will focus on advancing cell and gene therapies.
According to a press release by Bharat Biotech, Nucelion aims to assist global innovators in life sciences with its scalable and high-quality process development and manufacturing solutions designed for advanced therapies. These therapies target illnesses such as cancer, autoimmune, and rare genetic disorders. The statement highlighted the shift in pharmaceutical innovation towards biological modalities, predicting significant growth driven by emerging cell therapy technologies.
Spanning 30,000 square feet in Genome Valley, Nucelion's purpose-built GMP facility supports the development and production of plasmids, viral and non-viral vectors, and cell therapies. It also offers aseptic fill & finish services, ensuring compliance with international standards like FDA and EMA requirements. Dr. Krishna Ella, Nucelion's Non-Executive Director, emphasized the integration of advanced therapy into India's healthcare, while Dr. Raghu Malapaka, Chief Business Officer, committed to providing comprehensive solutions from clinical stages to commercial scale.
