The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to make a crucial advance in maritime defense with the launch of the GSAT-7R communication satellite, geared towards bolstering the Indian Navy's space-based communications.

Hailing from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, the GSAT-7R weighs in at a historic 4,400 kg, crowning it as India's heaviest communication satellite developed with significant indigenous input to meet naval performance needs.

Scheduled for flight by the formidable LVM3 launch vehicle, this mission underscores ISRO's consistent innovation, highlighted by the successful Chandrayaan-3 lunar endeavor, and will be streamed live for viewers on ISRO's YouTube platform at 5:26 PM.
