Tragic Accident: Tempo Traveller Plunges into Gorge in Uttarakhand
A Tempo Traveller accident near Jyolikot in Uttarakhand resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries as the vehicle fell into a gorge. The SDRF conducted a late-night rescue operation, evacuating 15 injured passengers. Investigations continue as one passenger remains missing.

A tragic accident occurred late last night when a Tempo Traveller carrying 18 passengers veered off the road and plunged approximately 15 meters into a gorge near Jyolikot's Aam Padav area in Uttarakhand's Nainital district. The mishap resulted in two fatalities, while several others were injured.
According to the Uttarakhand State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the incident took place on the night of November 1. The SDRF Post Nainital was informed by the District Disaster Management. An immediate response was undertaken by a rescue team led by Sub-Inspector Manish Bhakuni, who hurried to the scene.
Upon arrival, rescuers found the vehicle lying deep below the road. They successfully evacuated 15 injured passengers and rushed them to Haldwani Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, two individuals perished on the spot, and their bodies have been handed over to local police authorities. Search efforts are still ongoing for one missing passenger as further investigations are in progress. (ANI)
