In a significant diplomatic meeting, China's Vice President Han Zheng met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, according to China's foreign ministry.
China expressed its willingness to enhance high-level exchanges and offer mutual support on core interests, a sentiment conveyed by Han as per the ministry's statement.
However, ongoing concerns from Riyadh regarding the influx of inexpensive Chinese imports challenging Saudi Arabia's industrial development goals have stalled free trade agreement negotiations between China and the Gulf states since 2024.
