A Punjab woman was subject to severe abuse in Iraq, forced into domestic servitude by a travel agent's deceitful promise of a tailoring job. Her harrowing ordeal highlights the broader issue of human trafficking among Indian women misled by false employment offers abroad.

After suffering months of mental and physical torment, the woman sought help from Rajya Sabha member Balbir Singh Seechewal via social media. Her return to India sheds light on the dangerous networks luring women to Gulf countries under the guise of well-paying jobs.
