Russia is carefully evaluating the latest round of Western sanctions, emphasizing its commitment to act in accordance with its own interests, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Friday.
The U.S. has introduced new sanctions against Russia's major oil firms, Lukoil and Rosneft, while EU nations approved a 19th sanctions package against Moscow, targeting its continued conflict with Ukraine and including a ban on Russian liquefied natural gas imports.
Peskov stressed that the Kremlin's primary focus is not targeted actions against others but ensuring the nation's benefit, and they plan to respond accordingly.
