Eni Reignites Libyan Offshore Exploration Efforts
Italian energy company Eni, in partnership with BP, has resumed offshore exploration in Libya. These operations had been previously suspended due to Libya's civil war and the COVID-19 pandemic. The activities are taking place northwest of Libya after Eni halted its drilling in 2014.

Italian energy giant Eni has restarted its offshore exploration in Libya after a five-year halt, the Libyan state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Sunday.
The decision marks a significant step as both Eni and British oil leader BP engage in exploration activities, previously suspended due to Libya's civil unrest since 2014.
Earlier operations were also interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Eni has since resumed drilling in a well that had seen interruptions since 2020.
