The Southern India Film Editor's Association has suspended Pradeep E Raghav, a renowned film editor, for alleged violations of union bylaws, as announced on Friday. This move comes after Raghav was linked to the unauthorized online leak of the major film 'Jana Nayagan', starring top actor Vijay.

SIFEA's emergency executive committee meeting on April 17, comprising senior editors and executive members, resulted in this decision. They scrutinized accusations of Raghav employing non-union assistants on various projects, including 'Jana Nayagan', which breaches the association's rules.

The association clarified that although Raghav might not have directly caused the film's online leak, his admitted negligence significantly contributed. To safeguard the industry's integrity, SIFEA urged sister unions to uphold this disciplinary action, ensuring professional decorum and union workers' interests.
