In a significant move, the Delhi government has announced an ambitious Rs 500 crore project to establish a tourism and cultural hub under the Centre's 'One State: One Global Destination' scheme. Spanning approximately 200 acres of land in Kanjhawla, this initiative aims to foster an environment that promotes tourism, creative arts, literature, and local culture.

The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has issued a tender for selecting an architect consultant to provide comprehensive design and planning for the project. The greenfield project is planned to be developed on a 915-acre land parcel along the Kanjhawla-Narela Road, with a tentative commitment of Rs 500 crore.

The consultant's responsibilities include preparing a detailed project report, managing site surveys, and ensuring compliance with local building by-laws. The project's goal is to position Delhi as a global tourist destination, in line with the Ministry of Tourism's vision to develop top tourist spots across all states and Union Territories.
