In a compelling call to action, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat underscored the need to promote Sanskrit across India. Speaking at the inauguration of the new central office of the Sanskrit Bharati, Bhagwat highlighted how Sanskrit acts as a bridge between diverse Indian languages and serves as a conduit to the ancient cultural heritage of Bharat.
According to Bhagwat, the significance of Bharat transcends mere geographical and political-economic boundaries. It embodies a tradition that nurtures life universally, bridging both animate and inanimate realms. He emphasized that comprehending Bharat's profound knowledge base necessitates understanding Sanskrit, the mother of all Indian languages.
Bhagwat further stressed that Sanskrit's promotion should reach a point where every Indian can converse in it. Despite various ebbs and flows in its prevalence, Sanskrit continues to thrive, unifying the nation's linguistic diversity without displacing other languages. Sanskrit Bharati's efforts were praised for fostering this ancient tradition that underpins India's cohesive cultural identity.
