Rashmirathi Parv: Celebrating Hindi Heritage
Uttar Pradesh will host a three-day Rashmirathi Parv starting April 24 to celebrate Hindi poem Rashmirathi. Spearheaded by the state’s Agriculture Minister, the event aims to instill nationalism and cultural heritage appreciation through performances. It coincides with poet Dinkar's death anniversary and will feature various dignitaries and theatrical presentations.

Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi announced a three-day event, the 'Rashmirathi Parv,' to begin on April 24. The festival celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Hindi poem Rashmirathi, by acclaimed poet Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar', focused on the Mahabharata character Karna.
According to Shahi, the event aims to convey India's cultural heritage and values of nation-building to the younger generation through theatrical and poetic performances. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seeks to inspire nationalism among the youth during this celebratory period.
The event at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan will also mark the release of a commemorative souvenir, 'Rashmirathi Se Samvad.' Dignitaries including the Chief Minister and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend, ensuring a grand celebration of poetic tradition and cultural importance.
