Netflix's Bold Move: BTS Livestream Concert in Seoul

Netflix, the popular U.S. streaming platform, is gearing up for its largest livestream event of the year—a BTS comeback concert in Seoul. Scheduled for Saturday, the concert will be broadcast live to 190 countries, signifying Netflix's first global music concert broadcast.

Brandon Riegg, Netflix's vice president of nonfiction series and sports, highlighted the event as a culmination of Netflix’s investment in South Korea. The company's commitment to Korean culture is evident as it continues to boost infrastructure for more live events.

Despite some pushback from journalists over coverage guidelines, the event promises to be a spectacle, with free admission attracting up to 260,000 spectators. As Netflix looks to deepen its partnership in South Korea, it aims to capitalize on K-pop's global popularity.
