The government is determined to close the market gap for tribal producers, as underscored by Ranjana Chopra, Secretary of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, during the inauguration of the Bharat Tribes Fest 2026.

This 10-day event, launched at Sundar Nursery, is organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED). Alongside the fest, a business conclave is dedicated to discussing market linkages and promoting tribal entrepreneurship.

The initiative aims to strengthen relationships and create pathways between tribal producers and the market, ultimately boosting the income of tribal households. Chopra noted the importance of providing tribal communities their due share and empowering them to contribute significantly.
