Universal Pictures to Rock the Screen with Bon Jovi Biopic

Universal Pictures is set to bring the legendary rock band Bon Jovi's story to the big screen, as the studio has won a competitive bidding war for the project. The film, still in early development, aims to chronicle the band's journey to stardom starting from 1983.

Screenwriter Cody Brotter, known for the upcoming crypto thriller ''Killing Satoshi'', has been chosen to write the screenplay. Despite the excitement, the film currently lacks a director and the casting of the band's key members remains undecided.

Formed in 1983, Bon Jovi achieved worldwide fame with hits like ''Livin' on a Prayer'' and ''You Give Love a Bad Name''. Such a biopic is timely, given the recent success of music biopics like ''Bohemian Rhapsody'' and ''Elvis'' in the box office.
