In a tribute to spiritual strength and enduring peace, the Theckchen Choeling Temple at McLeod Ganj was the focal point of a significant prayer ceremony for the Dalai Lama. This gathering marked the 90th year of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, to be celebrated in 2026.
Supporters and followers, including 24 Tibet Support Groups, organized the event at the Central Tibetan Administration headquarters. Former Arunachal Pradesh minister Rinchin Khandu Khrimey highlighted the event as a symbolic 'Tenshuk' for the Dalai Lama's long life, while pledging the values of truth, compassion, and justice for Tibet.
Lama Sonam Wangdi, a leader in Buddhist teachings, emphasized the relevance of the Dalai Lama's spiritual guidance in today's conflict-ridden world. The event featured a cultural performance for hundreds of attendees, embodying both cultural heritage and the fight for a peaceful future.
