Morocco's Tourist Surge: A Focus on Indian Travellers
Morocco is set to welcome up to 80,000 visitors from India in 2026, following substantial growth in Indian tourism. The increase is driven by strategic promotions, partnerships with Indian tour operators, and user-friendly e-visa facilities, focusing on group tours, MICE, destination weddings, and travellers over 50.

Morocco is anticipating a significant rise in Indian tourists, expecting 75,000 to 80,000 visitors in 2026, up from 54,000 in 2025. This increase is part of a broader trend, with Morocco having hosted 20 million international visitors last year, marking a 31% increase in Indian entrants from 2024.
The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) attributes this momentum to initiatives that began in 2023, including opening an office in India, strategic promotions, and partnerships with local tour operators. These efforts have been complemented by the introduction of an efficient e-visa system, which has made travel more accessible for Indian nationals.
While there are no direct flights from India to Morocco, connections via Middle Eastern countries and some European cities ease travel logistics. As of now, India ranks second in terms of visitors from Asian markets and is poised to climb within the top ten source markets overall in the coming years.
