In a significant move towards compassionate and innovative traditions, Bollywood star Disha Patani, in collaboration with PETA India, has donated a life-size mechanical elephant to Thodathra Kalapattu Sree Bhadrakali Temple.

The artificial elephant, named Thodathra Kalapattu Devi Dasan, was unveiled with a grand ceremony featuring a Panchavadyam performance. This marks the 20th robotic elephant given by PETA India to temples nationwide, promoting an alternative to live animals during rituals.

E.T. Taison Master, CPI MLA, praised the temple's decision, highlighting its progressive stance in cultural preservation. Furthermore, temple president Madhu V emphasized the joy and respect this mechanical marvel brings, aligning faith with compassion.
