National Conference President Farooq Abdullah paid homage to his late colleague, Peerzada Ghulam Ahmad Shah, by attending his funeral in Kulgam district on Saturday. The former minister passed away in Jammu on Friday, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated public service.

Abdullah, alongside fellow party leaders and MLAs, joined other mourners to bid farewell to Shah. In his tribute, Abdullah highlighted Shah's unwavering commitment to the people, recalling his service during Abdullah's father's incarceration and his efforts as forest minister to conserve nature.

Abdullah expressed his respect for Shah’s devotion to the land and its people, wishing eternal peace for him. Shaw's creation of a forest protection force was noted as part of his lasting impact.
