The bustling city of Mumbai became home to a mesmerizing spectacle at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2026. 'Savour the Pause,' held at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, sought to bring the captivating Northern Lights closer to home.

Presented by Black Dog Soda and designed by renowned sculptural artist Arzan Khambatta, the installation admitted only ten people at a time, creating an intimate experience. Visitors were encouraged to disconnect from their phones, immersing in a setting where vibrant hues of aquamarine, emerald, and violet danced across a 12-foot-tall sculpture.

Brinda Miller, Festival Director, described the effort as a necessary pause in a rapidly moving city. For Khambatta, the challenge lay in capturing the fluid nature of light, shifting his sculpture's form to facilitate a dream-like visual journey. The installation successfully bridged the gap between art and experience, drawing crowds eager to witness the Arctic skies in Mumbai's urban heart.
