At the Shakti Sthal in New Delhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, along with Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, led floral tributes to Indira Gandhi. Kharge described her as a symbol of courage who fortified India's unity and integrity through visionary leadership.
Indira Gandhi's legacy as a formidable leader was also noted by Congress general secretary K C Venugopal, who recalled her as a guiding light for the nation. Indira Gandhi's assassination in 1984 marked the end of an era in Indian politics, but her contributions continue to resonate.
