On Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary, emphasizing his pivotal role in consolidating India's unity.
Gupta, joined by ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Parvesh Singh Verma, participated in the 'Run For Unity' event. Sardar Patel, renowned as the 'Iron Man of India,' is celebrated for unifying over 550 princely states into the Union of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the salute at a grand parade in Kevadia, Gujarat, in Patel's honor. Meanwhile, Gupta also lauded the Indian women's cricket team for their World Cup semi-final victory against Australia, marking their entry into their third Women's ODI World Cup final.
