In an era marked by shifting alliances and complex challenges, maritime security demands a broader perspective, according to Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Indian Navy Chief. Addressing the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2025, Admiral Tripathi underlined the concept of a 'Dynaxic Challenge' to describe the evolving nature of maritime threats.
The Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue, hosted by the Indian Navy at the Manekshaw Centre, sees participation from naval officers and experts worldwide. Admiral Tripathi highlighted the historic role of the seas in shaping civilizations, emphasizing their significance in both commerce and cultural exchange.
Furthermore, Admiral Tripathi spoke about expanding the Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) in Gurugram, aiming to increase its hosting capacity to around 50 International Liaison Officers by 2028, thus strengthening international maritime cooperation.
