CBSE's New Assessment Strategy Amid West Asia Conflict

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled an innovative assessment strategy following the cancellation of Class 10 exams in the Middle East, prompted by ongoing conflicts in the region.

According to the CBSE Examination Controller, Sanyam Bhardwaj, exams between February 17 and 28 for key academic subjects were already conducted, but the escalating situation led to a halt in further assessments.

To tackle this, CBSE has categorized students into groups based on exams completed and devised a grading system using averages of completed subjects to provide fair results. Students in the region will receive their results alongside their peers and can improve their scores in subsequent examinations as per board policy.
