Uttar Pradesh Governor Promotes University-Village Engagement for Social Development

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has called on universities to strengthen their engagement with rural communities as part of their social responsibility efforts. During a meeting with a media delegation, Patel highlighted the importance of universities' involvement in social upliftment projects in villages.

She detailed ongoing initiatives such as cleanliness drives and educational programs in adopted villages, aiming to improve the living conditions and access to education for villagers. Patel underscored the collaborative responsibility in enhancing higher education quality through initiatives like 'NAAC Manthan' and 'Shiksha Manthan'.

Additionally, the governor noted significant improvements in university appointments, emphasizing fairness and transparency. She also highlighted successful health campaigns including a free vaccination drive against cervical cancer for girls and women, marking a step forward in public health.
