Exide Industries Limited has announced the launch of the Exide Diksha Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship initiative designed to support top engineering talent in eastern India. As part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the scholarship is set to empower students from prestigious institutions like Jadavpur University and the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Shibpur.
The scholarship focuses on students from Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering departments, given their potential to contribute significantly to the battery and energy storage sector. A rigorous selection process, including project evaluation and personal interviews, culminated in the first cohort of 24 Diksha Scholars.
Exide's commitment to education extends beyond financial support. By integrating industry exposure into academic learning, the program seeks to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, enhancing students' readiness for future industry challenges.
