Airlines Adjust Schedules Amid Middle East Restrictions
Global air travel faces significant disruptions due to Middle Eastern hub closures following the Iran war. Major airlines have cancelled or adjusted flight schedules to various destinations, including Dubai, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh. Carriers are also adding flights to Europe to meet increased demand.
Amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, global air travel continues to experience significant disruptions. Major airlines worldwide are adapting their schedules as key flight hubs like Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi remain closed due to the Iran war.
The disruption has led to a cascade of cancellations. For instance, Greece's Aegean Airlines has postponed flights to Tel Aviv and other Middle Eastern destinations until late spring or summer. Meanwhile, airlines such as Air Canada and Air France-KLM have also suspended services to affected areas until later dates.
While Middle Eastern routes are on hold, several airlines are boosting European flights to address a surge in demand. Australia's Qantas and Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong have increased their flights to European capitals to accommodate travelers looking for alternative routes.
