Escorts Kubota Ltd, a leader in farm and construction equipment, reported a 6.6% increase in total tractor sales in March 2026 compared to the previous year, noting that 12,119 units were sold.
The company's domestic market saw a notable 7.5% rise, with sales reaching 11,582 units. However, exports were down by 10.4%, with 537 units sold. The firm attributes domestic growth to persistent rural demand and Rabi harvesting activities, despite minor delays caused by rainfall.
Escorts Kubota anticipates sustained agricultural momentum due to improved water availability, although geopolitical tensions might affect supply chains, particularly in fertilisers, which could hinder Kharif crop preparations.
