Under the purview of the Ministry of Petroleum and in consultation with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, PSU oil marketing companies have decided on a controlled hike of 25 percent or Rs 15/litre. This measured response is expected to help stabilize the industry in coping with fluctuating fuel markets and other external disruptions.
