Inferno at Daejeon Car Parts Factory Triggers National Response

A devastating fire erupted at a car parts factory in Daejeon, South Korea, during the lunch hour on Friday. Tragically, ten lives were lost, and 25 individuals were left in critical condition, with 34 sustaining minor injuries, according to the country's safety ministry.

While rescue efforts continued, four workers remain unaccounted for. South Korea's government swiftly activated a centralized disaster management system after President Lee Jae Myung commanded the fullest deployment of resources to manage the crisis and protect lives.

The factory is owned by Anjun Industrial, a supplier to Hyundai Motor and Kia Corp, among others. As of now, Anjun Industrial has not issued any comments regarding the incident. Firefighters successfully contained the blaze by late Friday night.
