Flipkart, the prominent e-commerce giant, announced on Friday that Sriram Venkataraman, its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will be stepping down from his position. The transition aligns with ensuring continuity, according to a company statement. Venkataraman will remain with the company for a transition period.
During this period, Ravi Iyer, who currently serves as the CFO, will lead the broader financial organization. This change is part of a strategic move to ensure leadership continuity at the Walmart-backed firm.
In conjunction with these changes, Nishant Verman is set to rejoin Flipkart as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Partnerships. Verman returns to the company after his entrepreneurial stint with Bzaar, a cross-border export platform. He brings experience from his previous roles at Microsoft Corporate Development and Morgan Stanley's tech investment banking.
