An Air India Express Boeing 737 MAX experienced a potentially severe incident with a suspected hard landing at Phuket airport on Wednesday, resulting in the detachment of its nose wheels.
Flight IX938 from Hyderabad to Phuket had no reported injuries, though the number of passengers aboard remains unspecified. Passengers were deplaned safely and moved to the terminal.
The incident has temporarily halted airport activities as the aircraft, now stuck on the runway, is being towed. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), an investigation is set to proceed in cooperation with Thai aviation authorities.
